King Square Commercial Phase 1, located on Woodbine Avenue (north of 16th Avenue) in Markham, is a mature project with all approvals, sales and financing in place. This mixed use project is being developed in three phases. (Fortress is partnering through the completion of phase one of this project only.)

The first phase consists of over 340,000 GFA in a three-storey Asian themed commercial, retail and convention centre complex. This phase includes 1,500 underground parking spaces and a landscaped green roof on approximately four acres of land. Phase 1 launched in 2011 and approximately 65% of the building has been sold with commitments from several major retailers and restaurants. Excavation and shoring on the project commenced in 2013 and completion is scheduled for early 2018.
